Polyetheramide-imide polymer compsns. are obtd. by reacting trimellitic acid or its reactive derivs. with aromatic diamines contg. ehter bonds of formula (I), and dissolving aromatic polyetheramideimide polymers having a reduced viscosity of above 0.30 dl/g obtd. in ether cpd. and/or alicyclic ketone cpds. having a b.pt. of below 180≦̸C. In formula, R1-R4 is H, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, Cl or Br; R5, R6 is H, CH3, ethyl, propyl, trifluoromethyl or trichloromethyl. The compsns are useful as overcoating agents for electronic parts, adhesives and films.
