PURPOSE:To prevent the driver of a preceding car from being dazzled by detecting the red light of the tail lamp of the preceding car and automatically switching the head lamp to the lower beam when the signal level exceeds a preset level. CONSTITUTION:Suppose that there is a preceding car within the detection distance range on the same traffic lane, a tail lamp sensor 19 detects the red light of the tail lamp of the preceding car. When the output level exceeds a preset level, the output of the recognition circuit 20 of the preceding car is set to H, turns on a transistor 17 through an OR gate 15 and an AND gate 11, actuates a relay 5, and lights the lower beam 2. Simultaneously the output turns off a transistor 18 through an inverter 16 and an AND gate 12, demagnetizes a relay 6, and lights off the upper beam 3. As a result, the head lamp light of a succeeding car is reflected on a reflector glass of the preceding car and a driver is prevented from being dazzled. |
