A multi-layer laminate (1) surrounded by a sheath for incontinence prevention, especially a bed inlay, comprises a plurality of layers (2-5) of cellulose wadding arranged on top of one another and a sheath (6), surrounding these, of an upper layer (7) and a lower layer (8), the upper layer (7) being formed by a moisture-resistant but moisture-permeable textile spunbonded web and the lower layer (8) being formed by a moisture-impermeable film. Besides an increase in the absorptive capacity it is achieved in an extremely simple manner that unpleasant odours due to more or less considerable urine decomposition are avoided in that apple pectin granules (10) are applied, preferably fixed by bonding, to at least one (5) of the celluose wadding layers (2-5) as urine odour absorber. <IMAGE>
