The invention relates to a safety device for the fuzes of missiles or projectiles which can be guided, having a rotor which can be driven by a stepping motor, the stepping motor being provided with a locking element which interacts with a guide in the rotor and can be operated by a control arrangement whose output signals are a function of one or more arming sensors. A second stepping motor is provided independently of the first stepping motor, which second stepping motor is provided with a dedicated locking element which interacts with a second guide in the rotor, it being possible to operate the second stepping motor with the same control arrangement, which is designed as a microprocessor. <IMAGE>
