The electrically driven grinding tool has a housing in which two motors are fitted. The first motor (1) has a shaft (2) which is connected to an epicyclic reduction gear which drives an eccentric (8). This eccentric imparts a linear oscillating motion to the grinding head (16) at right angles to the motor axis in the plane of the paper. The second motor (38) imparts an oscillating motion to the block (28) which imparts a swinging motion to the grinding head (16) which is at right angles to the linear oscillating motion.
