PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity and to decrease the change in electrophotographic characteristics at the time of repetitive use by providing a photosensitive layer contg. a specific bistolan compds. on a conductive base. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer contg. at least one kind of the bistolan compds. expressed by the formula I is provided on the conductive base. In the formula I, Ar<1>, Ar<2> denote an arom. carbon ring group or arom. heterocyclic group; R<1>, R<2> respectively denote an alkyl group, aralkyl group, etc.; R<3> to R<6> denote a hydrogen atom, halogen atom, etc.; R<3> and R<3> or R<4> and R<5> may form a condensed ring by bonding to each other; R<1> and R<3> or R<2> and R<4> may form a nitrogen atom-contg. heterocycle by bonding to each other. X is the atomic group expressed by the formula II. In the formula II, R<7> to R<10> denote a hydrogen atom, halogen atom, etc.; R<7> and R<8>, R<9> and R<10> may form a condensed ring by bonding to each other; l, n denote 0 or 1 to 6 integer; m denotes 0 or 1. The sensitivity is enhanced in this way and the repetitive property and image uniformity are improved. |
