PURPOSE:To decrease the fluctuations in sensitivity and gradation in long-term preservation by incorporating a specific compd. into at least one layer of silver halide emulsion layers. CONSTITUTION:The compd. expressed by the formula I is incorporated into at least one layer of the silver halide emulsion layers and the ratio (V0/Vg) of the total volume (V0) of oil drops and the total volume (Vg) of hydrophilic colloid incorporated into the silver halide emulsion layers is specified to >=0.8. In the formula I, Z denotes an oxygen atom or sulfur atom; R1, R2 denote an alkyl group; V1 to V8 respectively denote a hydrogen atom, halogen atom, etc.; X denotes a charge balanced paired ion; (n) denotes a value necessary for neutralizing the charge. The silver halide color photographic sensitive material which is less fluctuated in the sensitivity and gradation even after long-term preservation and has excellent pressure resistance is obtd. in this way.
