<p>One end of a valve assembly (10) has a first check valve arrangement (26) and is positioned in a channel (42) connecting a variable volume reservoir (46) and a second chamber (44). The other end of the valve assembly has a second check valve (38) and is attached to a movable wall (50) of the variable volume reservoir. Each check valve includes an element which opens in response to pressure changes in the variable volume reservoir (46): the first check valve (26) opening in response to pressure increases while the second check valve (38) opens in response to pressure decreases. The valve assembly (10) is bodily movable with the wall (50) of the variable volume reservoir (46) such that the first check valve (26) reciprocates in the channel (42).</p> |
