According to the invention, it is proposed to realise the form closure, which is automatically self-releasing when a torque limit is exceeded, in a plurality of parallel planes (in the basic sketch of Figure 1 two are shown) instead of only in one plane as in the previously known torque-limiting couplings. In the exemplary embodiment of Figure 1 the engaged condition is shown above the centre line and the disengaged condition below the centre line. All of the parts are only shown in one piece for the sake of clarity, even if they comprise more than one piece during or at the end of manufacture. In a construction and function known per se drivers (detent balls) (3) are accommodated movably in the openings (1a) in the coupling body (1), which drivers are pressed by the force of the spring (5) via the pressure disc (4) into recesses (2a) in the coupling body (2). According to the invention, it is proposed to provide, parallel to the partition line (7), further partition lines for the form-closure mechanism by directing the torque of the coupling body (1) via a driver cage (1c) and the force of the spring (5) via a spring cage (6) to the next partition line (8). <IMAGE>
