The invention relates to an apparatus for semicontinuous spray-compacting of objects by means of a liquid metal-spraying, pivotable nozzle arrangement and a shaping carrier surface which is moveable in rotation and/or oscillation under the spray cone of the nozzle. To create an apparatus which allows semicontinuous spray compacting, i.e. utilisation of the total or at least a major part of the furnace, ladle or distributor capacity, it is proposed that a plurality of carrier surfaces (11) are arranged spaced-apart side-by-side under the spray cone of the nozzle (4) for movement one after the other and that the pivoting angle of the nozzle arrangement is adjustable in such a way that it corresponds to the mutual lateral spacing of the carrier surfaces.
