The invention relates to a covering lid for a passage opening, situated above a folding-top support, in an end wall of a vehicle, which lid can be transferred, for the purpose of raising a folding top stored in a folding-top compartment assigned to the passage opening, from its covering position into an erected release position by a side-wall linkage, which is coupled to the folding-top support, of the folding top pivoting into the clear cross-section of the passage opening and pressing the covering lid up towards the vehicle interior about a bearing hinge counter to the force of a tension spring engaging on the lid. The covering lid is characterised in that it is divided into two lid parts which are connected to one another in a flat manner in the covering position, of which parts a first lid part can be pivoted up on the end wall about the bearing hinge, and on this first lid part a second lid part, which is acted upon by a second tension spring, is mounted such that it can pivot about a pivot bearing, which deviates in the axial direction from the bearing-hinge axis, towards the passage opening.
