<p>The concentration of a polyacrylic acid in a solution containing polyvalent cations having a valence of greater than or equal to 3, e.g., Fe (III), which interfere in the conventional quantitative analysis of polyacrylic acid scale-inhibitors, is determined by initially adjusting pH of the solution to a value in the range of 0.5 to less than 2, and then quantitatively measuring the polyacrylic acid content in a conventional manner.</p> |
