Opposed-piston internal combustion engine in which the piston bores are disposed in a circle in a cylindrical drum. The pistons are moved in opposite directions by two swash plates rotatably mounted on a hollow shaft, itself mounted in the cylindrical drum. Gas exchange is effected through the hollow shaft by a turbo charger mounted in the hollow shaft, the impellers of which are located directly below the intake ports and outlet ports of the piston bores.
