<p>PURPOSE:To enable the adhering salt water to be readily removed even if it flows due to its self-weight and prevent leakage at a high-voltage terminal and galvanic corrosion at a low-voltage terminal previously by slanting the mold surface where an electrical terminal protrudes. CONSTITUTION:In general, an ignition coil unit is used by adhering the mounting surface of a stay 18 mounted to cores 13 and 14 to the vertical surface of an engine. Then, the upper surface where a terminal 11 protrudes from a mold material is slanted to the horizontal surface (a virtual surface crossing the mounting surface of the stay 18 at right angle) in normal use. Thus, even if salt water is adhered to this upper surface, it flows due to the self-weight and is eliminated automatically and readily, thus preventing high-voltage leakage and galvanic corrosion at the terminal part.</p> |
