<p>PURPOSE:To stably convey charts by laying the front end part of a following chart over the rear end part of a preceding chart abutted on a resister roller, conveying the following chart in an extremely short time after conveyance of the preceding chart, thereby speeding up continuous conveyance of the charts. CONSTITUTION:When a preceding chart is abutted on a resister roller 33 to make a loop and then drive of a conveying roller 32 is stooped, an optical system exposing an original image is operated to expose the original image. An electrostatic image corresponding to the original image is thus formed on a sensitive drum 10, and the electrostatic image is developed by toner. In this way, while a toner image is formed on the drum 10, a following chart 60 is conveyed and its front end part overlaps the rear end part of the loop-shaped preceding chart. Thus, while the toner image is formed on the drum 10, roller 33, 32 are driven in synchronism with a specified timing of rotation of the drum 10, the loop-shaped preceding chart is conveyed to the drum 10 by the roller 33 through a third conveying roller 34.</p> |
