A device for assessing the degree of neurological dysfunction associated with diseases such as diabetes may be useful in the intermediate diagnosis of such a disease. An individual's ability to discriminate is investigated by successive application of calibrated probes (0...7; 11;21;31) of different cross-sections to the skin.
