<p>In order, in a process and a device, to achieve accurate positioning on a start line of a leading edge of a web-like fabric in a fabric-web guide of a fabric plaiting machine, it is proposed that the fabric web is advanced with its leading edge as far as the start line in the laying-out direction, the leading edge is recognised there and the fabric web is braked and stopped, that after stopping it is recognised whether the leading edge coincides with the start line or not, and that then, if the leading edge lies near the start line, the fabric web is drawn back against the laying-out direction by a predetermined amount and is then advanced again in the laying-out direction as far as the start line. …<IMAGE>… </p> |
