PURPOSE:To suppress waveform distortion in the output of an optical receiver by generating a voltage proportional to the peak level of a signal by inputting the output of the amplifier circuit of the optical receiver to a level detection circuit, and controlling the peak light output of an optical transmission circuit by controlling the peak driving current of a light emitting element. CONSTITUTION:The peak value of the output from an amplifier circuit 11 which inputs the signal received by a light receiving element 10 is held by a capacitor 15 for constant time via a diode 14. A current on a constant current source is varied by inputting the signal to the reference voltage of a constant current circuit 18 which controls the current that flows to the light emitting element 17, and the peak light output in the light emitting diode 17 is controlled. In such a manner, it is possible to suppress the waveform distortion in the output as fixing the reference voltage of the identification reproduction circuit 18 of the optical receiver at a constant level, and also, since no change occurs in the reference voltage of the identification reproduction circuit even when fluctuation occurs in a temperature, it is possible to prevent the waveform distortion from being increased. |
