<p>PURPOSE:To prevent damage to the surface, to which toner is attached, and a jam of recording papers on a photosensitive body both of which are caused by a recording paper hanging down, and to improve reliability by sucking the recording paper, which hangs down, by means of negative pressure in a carrying area from a photosensitive body to a fixing unit, and adjusting the negative pressure according to an image forming condition. CONSTITUTION:A control part 23 drives a main motor 21E by means of a driver 23e in response to printing command from a controller 24, and starts image forming operation. As it does so, the control part 23 also drives a fan motor 22M to produce negative pressure by which the recording paper is sucked, and stops the fan motor 22M upon the completion of image formation. When the recording paper is abnormally carried during the image forming operation, the control part stops the main motor 21E via output port O/P 23d and the driver 23e; however, the recording paper is kept sucked because the fan motor 22M is not stopped. Therefore, the negative pressure for the recording paper is adjusted; this prevents a jam of papers, which is caused by a recording paper hanging down, and improves reliability.</p> |
