PURPOSE:To make a pull-down menu easy to see by displaying pull-down menu items while varying the number of the pull-down menu items according to the number of resources in a system. CONSTITUTION:When a system control part 5 expands a program area to decrease the number of file areas by one, then a file list display control part 3 is actuated through an instruction line 301, the value which is decreased in the number of file areas by one is returned to the file list display control part 3 from a file control part 8 and the value is set as the number of pull-down menu items. Then, when a menu control part 4 selects a menu item 'disk change' and the pull-down menu is displayed, the pull-down menu is displayed while the number of pull-down menu items is decreased by one. Consequently, the number of files areas present on a storage device 9 currently is known only by opening the pull-down menu and no necessary item for the pull-down menu is displayed, so the pull-down menu becomes easy to see and the operability is improved. |
