<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the effect of noise and to attain high accuracy by providing a nonlinear processing means having a characteristic suppressing a low level to the pre-stage side obtaining correlation for movement detection. CONSTITUTION:The circuit is provided with a difference processing means 21 obtaining a difference of picture elements closed to each other at an interval of a prescribed sample period with respect to a picture signal, an n-value processing means 22 applying n-value processing to a difference signal, a correlation detection means 23 obtaining the correlation with respect to plural consecutive pictures being an object of the movement detection, a quantization means 24 quantizing the correlation, and a nonlinear processing means 23 provided to the pre-stage side of the correlation detection means and having an input/ output characteristic suppressing a low level. Since the correlation is detected after the signal processing suppressing a low level, the movement detection with high S/N against noise and high accuracy is implemented.</p> |
