<p>The first step in the prodn. of the magnetic head (1) is the application of a thin layer (5) of soft magnetic material on the side of a non-magnetic substrate (4). This layer is the main pole piece of the magnetic circuit. An auxiliary pole-piece (6) is then produced attached using a masking layer (7). Adhesive layers (8a, 8b) are then used to attached the second substrate part (3). The second substrate part is similar to the first except that it has a coil chamber slot (9) undercut into the side nearest the junction. A stepped slope (11) is then cut into the side furthest from the junction, and a V shaped slot (10) cut into the upper face. The coil (13) is then wound onto the second substrate (3) and the remaining cavity is filled with enamel (12).</p> |
