MOVEMENT DETECTION AUXILIARY METHOD AND MOVEMENT DETECTION AUXILIARY CIRCUIT EXECUTING THE METHOD

PURPOSE:To obtain the information of large movement by a simple hardware constitution by finding out the average value of data of respective blocks in a frame and setting up a block most close to the average value out of respective blocks in the preceding frame as the center of movement detection. CONSTITUTION:The title circuit is provided with a block average value extracting means 7 for finding out the average value of data of respective blocks in a frame and a movement detection center block detecting means 8 for finding out the block most close to the average value of data out of respective block of the preceding frame as the center of movement detection. Consequently, the information of large movement of an image can be obtained by the simple constitution, and detailed movement detection is executed around the center of the movement detection, processing can follow up large movement and an error for small movement can be also reduced.
