The invention relates to the use of compounds of formula I <IMAGE> (I) wherein A is a radical <IMAGE> and tautomers thereof, for controlling noxious insects and pests of the order Acarina, and to compositions which contain these compounds. The compounds of formula I are particularly suitable for controlling noxious feeding and sucking insects.
