[Class 131] A dry shaver, having an apertured cutting plate 2 and a rotary or oscillatory cutter 5 with blades 6, is provided with a protective ring 9 spaced from the outer edge of the cutting plate and having a continuous, rounded edge 10 to provide additional support against the skin and to prevent irritation. The ring 9 which may be part of the nut which secures the cutting plate to the casing 12, or may be formed as a separate member, is adjustable to allow the edge 10 to be adjusted in the direction at right angles to the upper surface of the cutting plate. |
