METHOD OF MEASURING DRY SUBSTANCE IN FLUE GASES

The invention relates to the quantitative detection of combustion of fuel particles above a predetermined level in the combustion chamber of a liquor recovery unit of a pulp mill. The detected signals are used to monitor and to control the operation of the unit, particularly with a view to reducing formation of undesired coatings on hot surfaces.
