PURPOSE:To reduce the pressure in a sample vessel housing a liquid to be measured while stirring the liquid to remove the dissolved gases from the liquid prior to measurement and to eliminate the air bubbles generated when the sample flows in a sensor by forming the sample vessel of the instrument for measuring fine particles in liquid into a hermetic type and providing a stirrer and a pressure reducing device thereto. CONSTITUTION:The liquid to be measured is put into the sample vessel of the instrument for measuring the fine particles in the liquid and the sample vessel 1 is hermetically closed. A 3-way cock 3 is then connected to a piping 7 for evacuation and a 3-way valve 9 is operated to communicate the piping 7. The liquid to be measured is in succession stirred by operating the stirrer and the evacuating device of a sampler 4 is operated to reduce the pressure in the sample vessel 1. The 3-way valve 9 is operated, upon ending of the evacuation, to restore the atm. pressure in the sample vessel 1. The measurement is made after a cock 8 is switched to a piping 6 for suction. The dissolved gases in the liquid to be measured are removed and the generation of the air bubbles in the sensor vessel is obviated. The fine particles are thus exactly measured. |
