PURPOSE:To enable the heating ability of an air conditioner to be exhibited even in the case of a simultaneous cooling and heating operation by a method wherein an outdoor equipment and a plurality of indoor equipments are connected to first and second connecting pipelines in such a manner that one side of each of the indoor equipments can be changed over, while the other side of the same is connected to either one of the first and second pipelines through a third pipeline via a flow rate controller, and an outdoor heat exchanger is provided with a bypass capable of regulating a flow rate. CONSTITUTION:A portion of refrigerant discharged from a compressor 2 is led to the outlet port of an outdoor heat exchanger 4 through a flow rate regulating valve 31 and a bypass pipeline 30. The remaining portion of the refrigerant flows through the outdoor heat exchanger 4 and is sent to an indoor side through a pipeline 13 in a gas-liquid mixed state together with the refrigerant gas flowing through the bypass pipeline 30. A portion of this mixed refrigerant is introduced into an indoor heat exchanger 10 in an indoor equipment 9a which is in the state of a heating operation, and after carrying out the heating operation, the refrigerant is allowed to flow into a pipeline 22 via an electric-type expansion valve 21. The other portion of the mixed refrigerant passes through an electric-type expansion valve 23 provided in the pipeline 22 and joins the refrigerant which has passed through the indoor equipment 9a. This refrigerant liquid enters indoor equipments 9b and 9c in a cooling operation state and, after decompressed by electric-type expansion valves 21, the refrigerant flows into heat exchangers 10 in the indoor equipments 9b and 9c. After carrying out the cooling operation, the refrigerant returns to the compressor 2 through a pipeline 14 via three-way change-over valves 20. |
