PURPOSE:To obtain a tension reducing condition during wearing of a seat belt with a simple structure by disposing a subspring between a gear wheel rotated by a main spring and a reducing plate rotated by a reel shaft. CONSTITUTION:A main spring 2 housed in a spring casing 1 is fitted and fixed in and to a projected cylindrical section 41 on a cover 4. A shaft part 52 of a gear wheel 5 is fitted rotatably thereon with a clutch plate 3 having its outer peripheral surface 34 formed thereon with first to third cam surfaces 32, 33, 35. The body section 58 of the gear wheel 5 are formed thereon with a latched wheel 53 and a sprocket wheel 54, successively, on the shaft part 52 side, and a subspring 8 is disposed in a recess 55 formed in the body section 58, which is locked at its outer end to the outer peripheral part of the recess 55. There is provided a ring-like release clutch 6 adapted to be rotatably fitted on the body section 58 and having a projection 41 against which an arm formed at the outer periphery of the reducing plate abuts. |
