It consists of a tube made of latex or siliconated plastic material, with an external diameter of 8 m/m and a length of 4 or 5 cm; the terminal portion 1 of one of its ends is blocked; it has oviform openings 2, situated diametrically opposite, near the blocked end. In its middle portion there is an inflatable balloon 3, towards the outside; by means of a fine duct 5 this communicates with a membrane valve, which allows the balloon to be inflated and deflated with a fluid (liquid or gas). The valve is situated in a hemicircumference of the tube at its other end 4. The remaining space of this other terminal aperture is taken up by a container accommodated within the tube, with a capacity of about 2 ml. The device can be used as a human contraceptive; it works by inserting the previously lubricated tube into the urethra, by its blocked end; with the aid of a syringe the balloon is inflated by pressure with 1 ml of fluid, thus fixing the appliance inside the urethral duct; after ejaculation this is collected in the container, which is opened out towards the outside of the device. <IMAGE>
