Method for the manufacture of a solid fuel starting from marc and products so obtained. An organic waste material, olive oil marc, is placed in a hopper where it is mixed with an agglutinating agent to produce a pasty product of suitable density which is delivered in a controlled way through a meter to dies where it is pressed by pistons driven by a hydraulic pressurising unit; once compacted, the product in the form of blocks or granules is delivered to a conveyor belt and passes to the collector and/or storage unit. The blocks of solid fuel obtained have a substantial specific gravity, give rise to slow combustion, have a high calorific value and leave little combustion waste. <IMAGE>
