发明名称 METHOD FOR MEASURING PENETRATION DEPTH
摘要 PURPOSE:To measure the length in the unwelded part between the front ends of penetrated parts by a non-destructive method with high accuracy by calculating the length by the plural specific equations from the beam travel distances of the reflection echoes obtd. from the front ends of the respective penetrated parts and the distance from the incident position of ultrasonic waves to the end face of welded members. CONSTITUTION:The ultrasonic waves are made incident diagonally to the members subjected to fillet welding at both sides from an ultrasonic probe disposed to one surface of the member in such a manner that the ultrasonic waves propagate at >=2.0 skip in the members and arrive at the welding penetrated parts. The beam travel distances W1, W2 of the reflection echoes obtd. from the front ends of the respective penetrated parts are determined. The length H of the unwelded part between the front ends of the penetrated parts is calculated by the equation I to the equation III from the beam travel distances W1, W2 and the distance Y from the incident position of the ultrasonics to the end face of the welded members. The above-mentioned length is thus measured with the high accuracy the non-destructive method.
