PURPOSE:To improve durability by fixing a porous metal which is filled with metal carbonate to one end of electrode layers at both ends. CONSTITUTION:Electrode layers 12a and 12b using Au are formed at both ends of a NASICON plate 11 comprising sodium-ion conducting ceramics. Foamed nickel 4 is fixed to either, e.g. the electrode 12a, of the electrode 12a or 12b. The inside of the nickel 4 is filled with sodium carbonate 13. When heating of a gas detecting part at the time of measurement in high moisture environment and non-heating state at the time of stop are repeated, moisture absorption and drying in the sodium 13 in the nickel 14 are alternately performed, and expansion and contraction are carried out. Since the sodium 13 is incorporated in fine holes in the nickel 14, the sodium cannot be moved within the nickel 14. Therefore fall-down due to peeling can be prevented. Thus durability can be improved. |
