The gas insulated switching equipment for reducing occupied area comprises steel towers (20,22) for transmission lines, a beam (22) connecting the steel towers, 3 series-connected breakers (3,4,5) arranged under the beam (22), two bus lines (23,26) connecting the 3 breakers electrically in series, two main bus lines (1,2) positioned parallel to the 3 breakers, and two bushings (12,13), which are insulating means, arranged at either end of the 3 breakers.
