<p>PURPOSE:To remove the winding irregularity of a magnetic tape caused by the loss of torque and to make countermeasure for the processing of the cause clear and accurate with the aid of displaying that the winding irregularity is removed by executing contrary operation to high speed feeding when the magnetic tape is stopped during the high speed feeding such as fast forwarding or rewinding and starting the initial high speed feeding again thereafter. CONSTITUTION:When the operation is stopped by the abnormality of a reel, the tape 23 is tested in the contrary mode to the fast forwarding or the rewinding so as to check whether the abnormality of the reel is caused by the loss of the torque or not. At this time, since the abnormality is not decided to be the abnormality of a reel motor or the cut of the tape, the tape is tested in the contrary mode and simultaneously it is judged by a main CPU 6 whether the prescribed quantity of the tape 23 is fed or not while it is displayed on a display unit 26. When the negative result is obtained, since the abnormality is caused by the abnormality of the motor or the cut of the tape, the corresponding processing is executed. When the affirmative result is obtained, since it is not caused by the abnormality of the motor or the cut of the tape, the cause that the loss of the torque becomes large is removed.</p> |
