<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a recording fluid excellent in quick drying properties, print quality, recording characteristics, storage stability, light fastness, weathering resistance, water resistance, etc., by mixing a water-soluble dye with an aqueous medium, PVA and a specified compound. CONSTITUTION:Desirably. 0.2-12wt.%, based on the total weight of the recording fluid (the same shall apply hereinbelow), water-soluble dye (e.g., C.I. Direct Black-154) is mixed with an aqueous medium (e.g., water) containing desirably 10-50wt.% water-soluble organic solvent (e.g., ethylene glycol) and desirably 0.3-3wt.% PVA, desirably of a degree of polymerization of about 200-1000 and a degree of saponification of 80-90%, and desirably 0.3-25wt.% at least one compound of formula I or II (wherein Hal is a halogen atom; m is 2-20; and n is 4-20).</p> |
