Apparatus for the examination and treatment, particularly the ophthalmological treatment, of a patient. The apparatus according to the invention comprises a device 10 for ophthalmological examination and treatment, equipment 12 for positioning and adjusting the device 10, a frame 14 for supporting the equipment 12 and the device 10, and a head-supporting system 16. In this apparatus the equipment 12 comprises articulated means permitting a rotation of the device 10 about a horizontal axis. Application to the examination and treatment of the eyes of a patient who is in a seated position or lying down. <IMAGE>
