Assembly of parallelepipedal 8, 27 and cubic 12 elements made from wood or any other material capable of being used for furnishing, arranged in a staggered configuration and held together by steel cables 31 or any other material having the same mechanical properties so as to form a semirigid canvas or lining capable of being used as an armchair or hammock lining. The introduction of pieces of wood or of any other material into the surfaces 32 which have been left free by the assembly makes it possible to stiffen the assembly in order to produce partitions which can be used for separating different spaces or to produce decorative elements. <IMAGE>
