PURPOSE:To eliminate a wiping stage and to improve the durability of an intaglio printing surface consisting of an elastic material by subjecting only the non-printing image areas of the printing surface to a surface treatment with a compsn. for coating. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive printing master plate consisting of a photosensitive resin layer 4 for which a plastic film or metallic sheet is used as its base 5, the compsn. 1 for coating and a cover film 2 is exposed and thereafter, the compsn. layer 1' for coating and photosensitive resin layer 4 for the unexposed part are removed, by which the compsn. layer 1' is formed only on the surface of the non-printing image areas. Ink does not stick to the non-printing image areas and sticks only to the image parts in case of coating the non-printing image areas of the intaglio printing surface consisting of the elastic material with silicone rubber. The intaglio printing without including a wiping stage is enabled in this way. The wear resistance at the time of wiping is higher than the wear resistance of the untreated printing plate in case of treating the non-printing image areas with the hard coating material and, therefore, the durability of the printing surface is improved. |
