Depilatory composition termed "depilatory wax", of the disposable type, capable of being deposited in a thin layer on the surface of the skin, containing a thermoplastic compound, colophony and emollients and demulcents, which composition may be applied in liquid form to the skin and which contains: - A thermoplastic compound, 15 to 40 % by weight; - A natural or synthetic resin and/or a derivative of such a resin, 40 to 80 % by weight; - An emollient such as, in particular, grease or oil, 5 to 15 % by weight.
