PURPOSE:To reduce the shock at the time of speed change by controlling either one of ignition timing, fuel injection quantity, and throttle opening in parallel with the speed change operation of an automatic speed changer gear so that the indicated mean effective pressure can attain to its target value. CONSTITUTION:During the operation of an engine, respective output signals from a combustion chamber internal pressure detecting part 5, an engine condition detecting part 6, a speed-change timing detecting part 7, and a shift position detecting part 8 are input into an electrical control unit 10, and in this electrical control unit 10, first, it is judged whether it is the time of speed change or not, and if it is the time of speed change, the signals of the shift position and the engine conditions are read, and while retrieving a previously obtained table, the target value of the indicated mean effective pressure is determined. And in accordance with this target value of the indicated mean effective pressure, a hydraulic control part 9 is controlled to start the speed change operation. Further, during this speed change operation, the indicated mean effective pressure is measured, and a throttle valve 4 is controlled so that the measuring value attains to a control value. |
