The running rigging includes at least a mast 24 for fixing a sail 25 and means 27, 30 for supporting the mast 24 in the longitudinal direction and in the transverse direction of the craft. It also comprises means 33-36 for changing the inclination of the mast 24 to the longitudinal axis of the craft as desired when the mast 24 is erect and capable of receiving a sail 25 for propelling the craft. Use in particular for a sailing craft such as a nautical or land-based craft, particularly a craft with a floating hull.
