PURPOSE:To assure the power transmission from a drive shaft to an axle in spite of the elevation of an axle case by spline-connecting a driven bevel gear connected to the drive shaft in a transmission case to a transmission shaft. CONSTITUTION:An axle case 6 steerable freely around a king pin axis X is provided through a hydraulic cylinder 8 onto a stationary transmission case 7 on the machine body side so that it can be driven and elevated freely along the king pin axis X. A transmission 11 is provided through the hydraulic cylinder 8. A driven bevel gear 12a is provided to connect the transmission shaft 11 to a drive shaft 10 and a transmission bevel gear 13a is provided to connect the transmission shaft 11 to an axle 9 in the axle case 6. In this case, the driven bevel gear 12a is supported at a fixed position in a stationary transmission case 7 along the king pin axis X and the transmission shaft 11 is spline- connected to the driven bevel gear 12a so that they can be moved freely and relatively with each other along the king pin axis X. |
