发明名称 DOUBLE REFRACTIVE INDEX MEASURING DEVICE
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the temporal position of pulse light by using a method of least squares and obtaining the difference of propagating time between two polarized wave modes in the case of measuring the double refractive index of an optical fiber by the use of the pulse light. CONSTITUTION:The pulse light from a light source 1 is supplied to a waveform measuring device 3 to which a trigger output 1b is given from the light source 1 through the optical fiber 2. The pulse light with the waveform generated by the difference of the propagating time between two modes orthogonally crossed is outputted from the device 3. The pulse light is supplied to a CPU system 4 and arithmetically processed. Namely, the CPU system 4 obtains the constant of a pseudo waveform in terms of the waveform of each pulse light by using the method of least squares and a time difference between the waveforms is obtained from the value.
