COMPOSITION FOR WETTING HYDROPHOBIC CAPILLARY MATERIAL AND USE THEREOF

PURPOSE: To enhance the effect of a compsn. to wet a hydrophobic capillary material by blending a water-soluble surfactant with a slightly water-soluble amphiphilic phosphorus-free org. compd. having <=4 deg.C m.p. and >=200 deg.C b.p. CONSTITUTION: A water-soluble surfactant is blended with a slightly water-soluble amphiphilic phosphorus-free org. compd. having <=4 deg.C m.p. and >=200 deg.C b.p. under 1,013 hPa to prepare the objective compsn. for wetting a hydrophobic capillary material. The weight ratio between the water-soluble surfactant and the slightly water-soluble org. compd. is preferably in the range of (20:1) to (1:1). The amphiphilic phosphorus-free org. compd. is preferably a silyl alkyl ester of an aliphatic hydroxytricarboxylic acid having 4-8 carbon atoms at each alkyl part or an acetylhydroxytricarboxylic acid.
