PURPOSE: To uniformly reform the surface characteristics of a molded material contg. conductive particles by directing corona discharge toward the layer of the molded material and introducing the aerosol formed by spraying of liquid into a corona discharge zone by an air stream. CONSTITUTION: The surface of the single-layer or multilayered molded material 1 arranged between an active electrode 4 to which an AC voltage of 5,000 to 25,000 V is supplied and a grounding counter electrode 2 is pretreated by the corona discharge which takes place between the electrodes 4 and 2. At this time, the corona discharge is directed toward the layer of the molded material 1 contg. the metallic particles or another conductive particles in a matrix consisting of a metallic material or plastic. The aerosol formed by spraying the liquid from an atomizer apparatus 8 into a housing 6 is introduced into the corona discharge by the air stream or gaseous stream. Consequently, an antistatic property, non-viscousness, wear resistance, static and sliding friction resistance, shieldability, adhesion and adhesion acceleration property in addition to the activation of the surface of the molded material 1 may be improved.
