A heating chamber has a bottom plate and a turntable rotatable on the upper surface of the bottom plate on rollers which exert a stress on the stress on the bottom plate. At least one piezoelectric transducer is provided on the rear surface of the bottom plate under the path of at least one of the rollers and produces a pulsed voltage according to the weight of the object. A detecting circuit determines the peak voltage from the transducer and provides a weight signal. The latter is used to control the microwave source via a relay.
