PURPOSE:To increase water-drainage property without increasing noise by cutting the edges of a tire tread through which a main and auxiliary grooves are intersected to increase the cross sectional area of the grooves. CONSTITUTION:Main grooves 1 and auxiliary grooves 2 are provided on a tire tread. One 1c of the three straight main grooves is positioned at the center of a tire; the remaining two 1s are positioned at the shoulder on both sides of the said main groove in parallel to each other and at a constant space. These main grooves are interconnected by multiple auxiliary grooves 2, the tire tread is cut at the point 3 where the crown center side end of the auxiliary grooves 2 and the main groove are intersected, to increase the cross sectional area of both grooves. Also the cross-sectional area SL of the main groove 1 at a point 2L where the width of the cut auxiliary groove 2 is increased is increased by more than 150% of the cross-sectional area 5 of the main groove 1. |
