An adjustable but constant flow of liquid is maintained by the pump B1, at a pressure which can, if necessary, be considerable, from a liquid reservoir A to the multifunction reservoir in service M O, and then, at a low pressure, to one of the storage reservoirs U. Depending on the flow rate of the suspension metering device E, the flow feeds the closed suspension reservoir which is in service D, or only the boiler G, or both. Heating takes place at G, temperature maintenance at I, deflection at K, hot sedimentation at M, sedimentation, cooling and temporary storage at O while the excess of liquid of M O, cooled at Q2 and expanded at R, flows via S T towards a storage reservoir U which is preferably flexible and immersed. The transfer of particles from M O towards U takes place hydraulically while another multifunction reservoir M O receives the stabilised and hot suspension. Settling takes place at M, at O, then at U. The excess cold liquid at the top of U is cycled, via S' and the pump B4, towards the reservoir M O, from where the particles are to be transferred towards U. The cycling device makes it possible, when not in operation, intimately to mix the liquid in a reservoir, between several storage reservoirs and even to increase its content of dry matter by introducing sugar syrups or other concentrated matter, using special flexible reservoirs. <IMAGE> |
