<p>PURPOSE:To increase the kinds of originals which can be measured by providing an optical detection means provided at a position opposed to an original sheet and a scanning means for scanning at least one of the above-mentioned sheet and the optical detection means. CONSTITUTION:Since interruption is allowed after scanning is started, external interruption processing is executed every time a 1st carriage 51 advances 0.4mm and a counter is incremented. Then, it is checked whether the scanning position of an optical scanning system 2 reaches a return position, that means, a position where go-scanning is completed. It is decided with the acid of a signal outputted from a return position sensor RP1. When the output level of the return position sensor RP1 changes from L to H, the go-scanning is stopped and return-scanning is started by inverting the driving direction of an electric motor M7. When the output level of the RP1 changes, the scanning position at such a time is regarded as a return-scanning reference position and a counter is cleared to zero.</p> |
